Why volunteer? We offer exciting volunteer opportunities along with training and support. As a COTA Health volunteer, you can:

COTA Health currently has more than 80 volunteers, over 20 of whom are active Board and Committee members. Collectively, COTA Health volunteers speak 40 different languages and reflect the cultural diversity of our communities. Their wide range of skills and expertise make them an essential part of the COTA Health team.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
How To Become a COTA Health Volunteer- COTA Health asks for a minimum six month commitment from all volunteers in one-on-one client placements (four month minimum for group or administrative placements).
- Those interested in volunteering must begin by submitting a Volunteer Application Form.
- Interested applicants may attend a volunteer information session to learn more about COTA Health’s Volunteer Services program and current opportunities.
- Interested applicants will be contacted for a one-on-one interview.
- Reference checks and a police record check will be conducted for all successful applicants prior to beginning their volunteer placement.
- Please note: There is a minimum 2-4 week waiting period for obtaining police records clearance.
- Once the reference check and police records check have been successfully completed, and if a mutually suitable match exists, volunteers may begin placement. If no suitable match is available, volunteers will be placed on a waiting list until a match becomes available.
