Senior Management Team

Paul began working in the health and social services sector in 1989 and brings twenty years' of experience to his role as Executive Director at COTA Health. Paul started his career in the developmental services Sector and worked within that sector for ten years in various leadership capacities and briefly as an independent consultant. He has spent the past ten years at COTA Health providing leadership to our programs, forging new partnerships, implementing new services and creating a client-centred and recovery-oriented culture at COTA Health. During this time he also has emerged as a recognized leader within the mental health, acquired brain injury, and developmental services sectors in Toronto and actively participates in and/or co-chairs numerous committees, networks and task groups across these sectors.

Sylvia has over 20 years of experience an occupational therapist, case manager, and psychotherapist and program management with specializations in health promotion, mental health, geriatrics, women’s issues and serious mental illness. Prior to joining COTA Health in 2007, she served as the Program Manager of the Assertive Community Treatment Team the Canadian Mental Health Association of York Region, was a Case Manager at North York Community Care Access Centre and the Program Director at Rexdale Community Health Centre. Sylvia earned her Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto and a Bachelors of Science, Occupational Therapy at McGill University.

Junie brings more than 12 years’ experience in the community mental health, developmental services and health promotion sectors to her position at COTA Health. Previous to her current role, Junie was a Manager, Client Services in COTA Health’s Rehabilitation Services prior to the division’s integration with VHA Home HealthCare. Junie also brings several years of management experience with a philosophy of developing the leadership skills in others. Recently, she served as a faculty member in the Social Service Worker program at Centennial College. Junie earned a Masters of Health Studies with a focus on leadership and a Bachelor of Social Work.
